Aloha!
So My adventure in Hawaii is ending in May! Boo... Although I am not happy about leaving, I am excited about moving to Spokane. Hawaii has been a great experience and I love the people I have met here. Hawaiian always hug and kiss on the cheek, whenever you say hello and goodbye. I will take this tradition with me where ever I go in life.
My daughter is excited to move too. She can't wait to be closer to her dad. Spokane is only 6 hours from her dad. It makes it easier for him to commute to see his daughter. Maybe then he can be in her life, and be a better role model.

Ending Journey

Aloha all my followers-

"A Hui Hou" Which means "Goodbye" in Hawaiian. This has been a great journey! I would have never imagined writing on this blog or even creating it would be as it was fun. So as we say in Hawaii "Mahalo" "Thank-U" for keeping me on your blog follower list!

So I turned thirty on Sunday. I went to a five star restaurant, called Michel's Hawaii, it was amazing. I don't know if anyone has ever been to high class restaurant but the food is awesome and I truly think everyone should eat at a place like that at least once in their life.

The Kansas City Chiefs won there game they played tonight...Yippee! Chiefs-21 and the Chargers-14! The chiefs are on top of their division! I glad to see this because it has been a few years for the chiefs to be on top the the division. It probably won't happen again for the rest of the season, but I keep my head up.

"If you can dream it, you can do it!" I have enjoyed this blog and it has helped my writing and improved my thoughts about writing.

Wow the explosion in California, is too sad, I hope none of my fellow blogger were hurt or injured in the fire!

Almost over

This Journey it almost over... Most of the time I in great spirits about this blog thing. Although a certain somebody, did get his blog up and running until the very last minute... As far as how did I like it.. Well it was a learning experience I truly enjoyed!

Things here at the home front are good. Children are fighting, parents are irritated, But me I am great! I went to the beach Yesterday, I got totally burnt. I mean really really burnt, to the point where it hurts to move. Hurts to bend over, hurts to wear a bra, or shirt. If anyone lives near beaches WEAR SUNSCREEN no matter what.

I had lunch with my daughter today at her school. Last year her school lunch was only 25 mins and this year it is 45 mins. Wow I say... that is a long lunch for a 3rd grader. Here in Hawaii elementary is PreK-6th grade. Middle school is 7th and 8th. High School is 9th - 12th... Kinda strange right? I guess everything is weird here in Hawaii. I am a Main lander here at heart! I love the main land!

People Just don't know how good they have on the mainland, until they go to an island for years at a time! I'm not saying its a tough place to live weather wise it's great, but education, price of food, travel time, and parking wise it's crazy!

I will most likely keep my blog, but I am not sure if I will write on it everyday. I will probably write on every so often...

Mahalo to all ya'll and Have a blessed day!!!

Oh Happy Days!

On Saturday, the UFC fights took place. In case you are wondering what the UFC is. It is the Ultimate Fighter Championship fights. This time the Hawaiian native was in the fight, of course he lost. The sports bar was really busy and I made lots of money. Here in Hawaii the fights start at 4pm and is over around 730pm. In the mainland I think the fights start at 9pm and end at 1230am... it so crazy!
On Sunday, my daughter and I saw the movie Despicable Me, of course at first I thought it was going to really stupid, but I was wrong it was actually very funny. I ate so much popcorn I felt like I gained like 10 pounds. This is why I never go to the movies because I always over eat the popcorn.
On Monday, it was back to school, back to house work, and back to work. I feel like this is my life work, school, and house work! On the other hand, I get to spend time with my daughter and she keeps my life full of excitement and joy and fun. Although, sometimes I wish I had just sometime for myself. I love my life, Oh Happy Days... Mahalo for listening! Have a blessed day my fellow writers!!

Spokane

I want to move to Spokane, WA! I have put a lot of thought into this... For the career I want to my degree in, there are a lot of opportunities there! Plus my childhood friend lives there, and she and I could catch up on good ole' sweet nothing conversations! LOL... Even though I will hate to leave the beautiful state of Hawaii... I think in June of 2011, I will be moving me and my daughter to Washington state!
I don't know if any of you the mother's out there are single parents raising your kid or kids on your own, but my daughter's father is supposed to send 30 dollars a month in child support for his daughter, and can not seem to get it to me, on time. This is really frustrating especially since I pay for everything she needs, wants and gets. "Why couldn't her father been a billionaire? LOL... the cover of Forbes's magazine?" I'm just sayin'... To be continued

Running and Walking!

Aloha Y'all...
So a few Monday's ago a friend of mine said " Do you want to start running with me around the track?" And of course I was like "umm, I'm a smoker and running is a little not possible, I'll walk while you run." she said to me "well I didn't mean run the whole time" I replied "what the heck, I run/walk with you!" So I decided to quit smoking, mind you I have tried this quit smoking thing several times, but I have done it! I know it has only been a couple of days since the quit date but this time I feel different, So best of luck to me I say! I started to run/walk on 9th of Aug. and was the best choice I have ever made! I run/walk twice a day, once in the morning and and then again in the evening! I must say I never in a million years thought I would quit smoking, and run/walk as much I have lately. I truly love doing it!
In school this week has been a challenge for me! I hate writing outlines and this week in my writing class I have to write and produce an outline! Ugh...I say cause I am one who believes outlines should be written at the end of the paper, because by then I know what I am writing and what order it should go in! But that is not how writing a paper goes...So here I am writing an outline! Ugh...
My father had to go to American Samoa, for his job so he left yesterday and my niece had a fit, she didn't want her papa to go anywhere... and she is 9 years old! Yes a fit I said! Of course she got over it but it was a hard day for her!
I didn't get a chance to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play football in the preseason, but I heard we were doing pretty good, might be a contender for the play offs this Year!
Have a Blessed Day!!!

Stressed out!

I'm so stressed out... My mother is turning 50 this year so I am throwing her a surprise "over the hill" birthday party! So much is involved in throwing a surprise party! Who to invite, hope they come, where to have the party, where to get the cake, dress code or no dress code, and of course what time and what day works for everyone including my mother! Ugh... and her birthday isn't even until November! I think the hardest part for me though is for me to keep it from my own mother, because we share everything! If I want to complain, I complain to her, if I want to share something exciting, I share it with her so she can be excited with me and now since it's her birthday, I have to keep this a secret from her... WOW I'm so stressed out!
Over the past two weeks, I have had to go to school, keep my grades up, take care of my daughter, and work everyday! So I am really glad I only have to work 3 days this week! It's so nice to be able to just relax!
So Saturday, I work until the club closed which was at 1:00, I actually got off work at 1:45 and had to babysit my friends kids at 5:00, and by the time I got done babysitting it was 5:45pm, boy i was exhausted! I fell a sleep around 6:30pm. I couldn't even eat my dinner I was so tired. Ugh... the day was crazy!
Well have a blessed day my peeps! Enjoy life to the fullest, and take chances!

06 August, 2010

So, My daughter the first day of school was the other day and she fell on her knee. The school nurse called me and said " Your daughter fell and needs to go to the emergency room for stitches" So of course I rush over to the the school to pick up my daughter to go to the ER. I get up to the ER and the doctor says to me " wasn't your daughter in here about three months ago for falling on her hand?" Of course I wanted to say no, because the last time my child screamed at the top of her lungs when the nurse tried to pick the rock out of her hand, after putting the numbing solution on, but I replied "yes, it was us." When they brought the numbing solution he brought twice a much. LOL... the end of the story was she didn't need stitches and she cut her knee pretty bad.
My life on the other hand is going great, I have no complaints. I love my job and the people I work with. I had my evaluation on Tuesday and it was very informational. I saw things from a different point of view. I need to stop letting everything get to me. I have learned to just put a happy face on!
Mahalo for listening!

Weekend was a crazy one!

Whoop... So excited! I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan! I know this team is not doing the best it can, especially the last few years. They have done the best with what they have been given. Go chiefs season 2010-2011...
My daughter started school today! Yes, I know here in Hawaii we start school early. The crazy thing is school starts at 7:55 Am and gets out at 2:05 Pm! On Wednesday's my daughter gets out of school at 1:15 Pm and every two months they have what is called furlough Friday's, which means no school on those Fridays.Crazy right? I really miss the school system in the mainland, because they have a better education system.
How about Lindsey Lohan? Only 13 days in Jail... How nice would be to be a celebrity? I mean 13 days and straight into rehab. Wow! The jail is saying it was too crowed to keep her there longer then two weeks. Must be nice to be successful. I just hope the system gives all of us regular people the same respect. Ha!
My niece's birthday was this weekend and boy they were a ton of 8 and 9 year olds running around my parents house it was a mad house! Although, only 5 girls stayed the night, it was a crazy weekend.
Have a blessed day everyone...Mahalo for listening!

Aloha Again!

Today is going rather well, I'm doing great in school, working hard at work, and my adorable daughter is wasn't quite ready to come home from her dad's, but I told her "it happens, you will see them next year love" Of course when she got home she was a lot more happy to be home. I knew that was going to happen too. My daughter's father lives in Montana, I live in Hawaii so I can imagine how she feels to have to go back and forth every summer!
So I went to the pool yesterday...Yes I said pool! I got totally sun burnt! We have a water park here in Hawaii too! Sometimes us Hawaiians like to stay away from the salt! I don't know if any of y'all have every swam in the ocean, but it's very salty and when you get all dried out, our bodies are like a salt lick for horses! So when we are in the pool or water park it's nice to not have to feel like a salt lick! LOL
Mahalo for listening!

Finally!
So my daughter is finally back from her dad's and I could not be more excited! Is this a selfish thing? I don't care! She is the light of my life! She starts school here in Hawaii on the second of August! Wow right?
Work has been crazy... people quitting, people staying, and of course people getting fired! All I can say is at least it's not me! This single mom needs her job!
Hawaii has been having really wonderful weather, sunny, hot, and my family and I just keep getting darker by the minute.
My parents are the best parents in the world to me. They support me in whatever I do no matter how long school takes me, they are there! God bless all the parents out there!

Crazy Hawaiians!

Aloha My fellow bloggers!
So I guess in Hawaii, it's normal to always back int o a parking space! This was hard to get used to when I moved here, because I was so used to just hurry up and park in a spot and go into the store! Not here... Here they take their time in everything they do! I have to admit it nice, but it has it's disadvantages too! Like when you are in a hurry, and need to get to a place quickly and you are waiting on the car in front of you to park and they just slowly and take their time. I know right WOW? Also traffic is hell, if you have to be at work at 8:00 AM and you leave your house at 7:30AM thinking you have enough time boy are you wrong, It takes people in Hawaii at least 2 hours on the highway to get to the job! Crazy again right? Emergency here is another 6 hour minimum Yeah I said 6 hours. Crazy right! Although it's Crazy I love Hawaii!!! It is the Hawaiian way to say hello and goodbye by giving a kiss on the cheek. This I will take with me when I come back to the mainland!
Mahalo for reading!
Have a blessed day!

Workaholic?

I'm a workaholic... Or so I feel like one! I worked the day shift and I have to work the night shift today! I love my job, it's fun and I have some really great co workers!
My daughter comes back to Hawaii next Friday and I am super duper excited! She had be at her dad's in Montana for the past seven weeks! She is the apple of my eye and I can't wait to squeeze her little face and kiss her!
Home life has been great. School is going to a huge challenge, lots of school work. Have no fear my fellow peeps I will succeed! Have blessed day!

School? Work? Parenting? What..I have a life?

Aloha my peeps...
School? Yeah, I know what fun! Even though I need it to make a successful career, I also need to help my own 8 year in her school. She is now in 3rd grade and the questions she asks me sometimes makes me think of the show "are you are smarter than a fifth greader" Between that show and my 8 year olds math questions, I am really glad I am in school again. Finally finishing what I started many years ago!
Work? Enough said! Who wants to work? Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but my life would be so much easier if I didn't have to work! I love sending money! I want someday to beable to get everything my daughter wants in life and more. In order for me to do those thing I need to work!
Parenting? Easy? No way! My daughter has the dumbest jokes at 8. She tells me them and I'm like really? She's says "mom that was so funny right mom?" Of course I laugh, not because it's funny, but because it redictulous stupid.
When I do get a life it's after my child whom I love dearly has gone to sleep. Then I enjoy pease and quite. So I say Mahalo for all the single mothers who struggle just like me!

Rockstar...

So my weekend was amazing, got lots of sun, and I had lots of great friends to make it a weekend to remember! Everyday I remind myself of just how successful I want to be... and everyday I become better and better. Each week goes by with a great grade on a paper or just a special hug from my lovable niece. I hope all have a blessed day! Remember to make each day an exceptional day!

Who would have thought...

I never thought blogging would be so easy! Even though, some people become very addicted to blogging, I am not going to become one of those people. Of course this is what most addicts say. It's not going to happen to me, I'm not going to become addicted. I can control my behavior... but ha! Once we become hooked, it becomes more easy to do! I am using this experience as challenge. I challenge myself and all the other blogger to write, but DON'T get addicted!
