Aloha My fellow bloggers!
So I guess in Hawaii, it's normal to always back int o a parking space! This was hard to get used to when I moved here, because I was so used to just hurry up and park in a spot and go into the store! Not here... Here they take their time in everything they do! I have to admit it nice, but it has it's disadvantages too! Like when you are in a hurry, and need to get to a place quickly and you are waiting on the car in front of you to park and they just slowly and take their time. I know right WOW? Also traffic is hell, if you have to be at work at 8:00 AM and you leave your house at 7:30AM thinking you have enough time boy are you wrong, It takes people in Hawaii at least 2 hours on the highway to get to the job! Crazy again right? Emergency here is another 6 hour minimum Yeah I said 6 hours. Crazy right! Although it's Crazy I love Hawaii!!! It is the Hawaiian way to say hello and goodbye by giving a kiss on the cheek. This I will take with me when I come back to the mainland!
Mahalo for reading!
Have a blessed day!
Hi Sarah .. and "mahola" from the mainland!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear there so laid back in Hawaii, sounds as if their driving you a bit crazy when it comes to parking, and getting to work. Maybe when you get back to the mainland you can take a trip to my "stompping grounds" in New York. I think you would change your mind about Hawaii in a New York second! LOL
As you said, and I would imagine, it still must be nice to be in Hawaii.

Hey Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. I just got back from Germany and Europe is very laid back. I enjoyed it though. It was custom to go and eat and spend hours their. I remeber when I first got there how I used to complain that my food was taking forever. Then after three years I didn't notice. I moved back stateside and now complain that everyone is in such a hurry. I wonder shy my check was brought out before I was done eating. Funny right. Now I live in Washington DC and dealing with traffic. The fast pace and tons of people. Enjoy the beach!
